The National Democratic National Organizer Joseph Yamin has responded to criticism that he was practicing how to shoot with a side arm indicating that he was rather perfecting his targeting skills.
Yamin, a known barracks boy and a firebrand of a politician was recently seen in a viral video at a US practicing shooting range, aiming at some targets.
The video post on his Facebook page attracted divided attention with some calling him out, while others said it was needles for an NDC leader to be doing that.
But in a sharp response on Ultimate Fm while speaking to Julius Caesar Anadem, he explained the rationale behind his action.
“I am not practicing how to fire; I am only sharpening my skills. I know how to shoot. what i put out there is just for fun, do you think I am too concerned about what people are saying?”
“I don’t care the meaning, you read into the video, this is just the pistol, I have more videos. I paid for the range. Probably it could also send a signal that if it’s about shooting, it’s not only the military that knows how to shoot” he retorted.
“So, the video shouldn’t be on social media, I am so happy that you Caesar, this your nice head if I want to target it, I can target it”, he bragged
He notes that the shooting at the range happened in the United States where he paid to get his shooting skills spot on, adding there are more videos which he will be posting soon.
“When I go to the range in America, where I pay dollars to go and sharpen my skills, you tell me that it’s scary. The guns I was using for the shooting can never be brought to Ghana. Facebook is private, did I force people to go onto my social media platform, you wanted to see it and went there”, he asked.
“Thousands have gone there to view and I want more people to go there and view it. I want more people to view and have more ideas. This one was just the pistol. I have another one I will put it there” he said.
