Ghana Audit Service inaugurates district office at Dodowa
The Ghana Audit Service has inaugurated a district office at Dodowa in the Greater Accra Region.
The construction of the office is part of the service’s plans to expand their operations across the country.
In furtherance of this, three regional offices and 15 district offices have been inaugurated.
These edifices including the state-of-the-art complex at Dodowa is expected to streamline auditing processes, improve service delivery and strengthen the service’s oversight responsibility on public funds.
The Dodowa office is also expected to be used as the operational office for the audit service in the Greater Accra Region.
Speaking at the inauguration Greater Accra Regional Minister Daniel Titus Glover explained that the decision feeds into an agenda to decentralize government operations.
On his part, auditor General Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu indicated that the establishment of such offices is in line with Ghana audit service’s commitment to improving the quality of audits and reinforcing its role in protecting the public purse.
