Armed robbers on Friday afternoon attacked a Forex bureau in Abeka Lapaz, Accra.
The two suspects reportedly entered the Forex Bureau, located near the Las Palmas area, and demanded that the staff hand over all available cash.
As the robbery unfolded, some bystanders outside managed to lock the entrance, trapping the robbers and employees inside.
When the police arrived, they found the bureau secured, with both the robbers and workers believed to be still inside.
According to an eyewitness who spoke to Channel One News, the robbers mysteriously vanished after police forced their way into the building, which is now under tight security.
A staff member, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed to Channel One News that the bureau would release a formal statement with further details about the incident.
