Community Development is one of the key areas Amos Aloryi Children’s Home focuses on and this has stood a test of time, due to the prioritising collaboration and networking with other community development organizations dedicated to creating sustainable and positive impact. Recognising the strength in unity, we have partnered with these entities, ranging from non-profits, CSOs, state actors to grassroots movements, play a pivotal role in enhancing the well-being of communities. Amos Aloryi Children’s Home, has supported the Begoro community development and the transformative has had a positive impact on its societies.
Amos Aloryi Children’s Home accessed the Begoro community and identified and understood the unique needs of the community. We embark on comprehensive needs assessments, interacting closely with residents to gain insights into challenges related to education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social welfare.
We empowered children within the community, our key objective. Through various programs and initiatives, we provided the tools, knowledge, and skills necessary for community members to take charge of their own development, fostering a sense of self-reliance.
We provided resources, both financial and non-financial. We partnered with governmental organisations, private enterprises, international aid and individual donors, these organizations ensure that the necessary resources are allocated strategically to address the Begoro community needs.
At Amos Aloryi Children’s Home, sustainability of our projects and programmes is very key to us, together with our partners championed practices that have a lasting positive impact on communities. We are in contact with the local actors and authories, community leaders to implement sustainability and long-term resilience phase of our projects in Begoro community.
We engage organizations and we actively participate in advocacy dialogue. By this, we have influenced policies at various levels of governance, they strive to create an environment conducive to community development and child well-being, addressing systemic issues that impact the well-being of residents.
To gauge the effectiveness of our initiatives, we implement rigorous monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. Regular assessments allow for the identification of successful strategies, areas for improvement, and adjustments needed to align with the evolving needs of the community.
