Ghanaian legend Asamoah Gyan has opined that politics has taken over the country.
Speaking to Asaase Radio on Tuesday, June 25, the Black Stars legend said everything in the country is now connected to politics.
“In Ghana, everything is connected to politics… even marriage is politics,” Asamoah Gyan shared.
Asamoah Gyan, 38, has been linked with politics over the years. At one point, it was reported that the celebrated footballer had ambitions to go to Parliament.
Earlier this year, he was named to serve on the manifesto committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Gyan, he is on the committee in the interest of Ghana.
“I’m serving on NPP’s manifesto committee in Ghana’s interest,” Asamoah Gyan said.
Some reports have indicated that if Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia wins the 2024 general election, Asamoah Gyan will be named the Minister of Youth and Sports.
